Hungarian Officer Condemned for Persecuting Jews; Associates Intimidate Witnesses

The trial of L. Borza, an officer accused of persecuting Jews in a forced labor camp during the pro-Nazi regime, was disrupted today when several of his associates tried to intimidate prosecution witnesses. However, prompt action by the police prevented a serious incident and the defendant was sentenced to death.
