New York Mayor Supports City Council Proposal to Probe Discrimination in Universities

Members of New York City Council were informed yesterday by Mayor William O’Dwyer that he will support a Council proposal to investigate racial and religious discrimination in graduate and professional educational institutions in New York City. Earlier, both the majority and minority leaders of the Council declared their support of a resolution empowering a Council committee to undertake the inquiry.
