A cable hailing the simultaneous establishment of 12 settlements in the Negev area of Palestine has been sent to the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem by Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, president of the Zionist Organization of America. The text of the message read as follows:
“American Jewry thrilled by news of simultaneous establishment twelve settlements in Negev. It is magnificent tribute to the indefeasible spirit of the Yishuv and greatly heartens all of us here who are working with you for the upbuilding and redemption of Eretz Israel.”
