All Jewish employees of the British officers’ club and the servicemen’s canteen have been transferred to other jobs and been replaced by Arabs. British military spokesmen indicated that the transfers were made for security reasons.

Dr. Hussein Khalidi and Ahmed Hilmy Pasha, members of the Palestine Arab Higher Committee, left Jerusalem today for a week’s visit in Egypt. Although they insisted that the visit was not for political reasons, it is believed that they will consult with the ex-Mufti.
