Twenty-five Jews are among the candidates of the Fatherland Front in the elections to the National Assembly, set for Oct. 27. Of these, 13 are Communists and three are Social Democrats. No Jews were nominated by the opposition parties.

Speakers at an election meeting for the Jewish candidates today appealed for a unanimous vote for the Fatherland Front, which they said alone guaranteed equality for minorities, and promised a definite uprooting of fascism and anti-Semitism. They charged that opposition parties sheltered many fascists and anti-Semites.
