Fifty young French Jews, many of whom fought as Maquis during the war, today witnessed the formal opening of their new settlement, Neveh Ilan, by officials of the Jewish Agency, the Jewish National Fund and the French consul-general in Palestine. The settlement, which occupies 1,700 dunams of J.N.F. land, is situated in the Judean hills near Maale Hamisha.
