2,471 Students Attending 28 Jewish Schools in Poland; Yiddish is Principal Language

There are 2,471 students attending the 28 Jewish Schools throughout Poland, according to figures released here in connection with the opening of the school year.

Yiddish is the principal language of instruction in these schools, 20 of which are in Lower Silesia. Hebrew and Jewish history are also taught. In general, the course of study is similar to that in the non-Jewish state schools.
