Minister of Justice Istvan Ries has requested the extradition of 36 German war criminals held by American military authorities in Germany, it was disclosed here over the week-end. The Nazis will be tried for the torture and murder of Hungarians and Jews.
The will of Geza Elek von Ejpen, a prominent Jew who was murdered together with his wife in the Oswiecim death camp in 1944, which was made public today, leaves all his property to the city of Tel Aviv for the establishment of a hospital in memory of his son. According to the will the hospital must have at least 15 beds and must give service priority to Hungarian Jews. Von Ejpen had considerable holdings in both Hungary and Austria including two distilleries, a narrow gauge railroad, considerable machinery and two castles in which are housed a valuable art collection.
