A $10,000 gift to the United Jewish Appeal has been made by the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation, it was announced here today. A check for that sum was presented to William Rosenwald, U.J.A. national chairman, by Charles H. Silver, vice-president of the Foundation of which Cardinal Spellman is president.
