An anti-Semitic demonstration occurred on Sunday during a soccer game at Szolnok, south-east of Budapest, it was reported today by the Budapest daily Vilag.

The match, which was between a Budapest team, many of whose players were Jews, and a local aggregation, was suspended for five minutes until police reinforcements restored order. Spectators cried out threats against Jews and accused them of black-marketing.

Minister of Justice Istvan Ries, who is president of the Hungarian Football Association, has prohibited further matches at Szolnok pending an investigation into the disturbances. A similar incident took place several weeks ago at a soccer game here.
