U.S. Request for Admission of 25,000 Jewish Dp’s to Italy Remains Unanswered

Italian Premier Alcide de Gaspert told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the Italian Government has not yet replied to the United States request that Italy give temporary shelter to some 25,000 Jewish refugees from the American zone of Austris. He added that it was not the Americans or the Italians who are interposing obstaeles.
