Preliminary reports from various sections of Poland received last night and today indicate that yesterday’s elections were not marred by anti-Jewish violence.

At Pabianze, near Lodz, and in Lowitch, near Warsaw, groups supporting the Mikolajoyk slate attempted to provoke disturbances, shouting anti-government and anti-Jewish slogans, but they were quickly dispersed by security police.
