A group of Jews who survived torture at the hands of Dr. H. Menegele, former chief physician at the Osviecim death camp, have applied for permission to leave Rumania for Poland so that they may testify at his trial there.
The Jews first learned of Menegele’s capture when the Polish Government requested his extradition from Germany where he was captured by American troops. Jewish newspapers throughout the country, particularly in Transylvania, are asking survivors of Oswiecim to come forward with all evidence which may aid the prosecution.
