New “security” Restrictions Will Limit Movement of All Inhabitants of Jerusalem

Further extensions of British “security” restrictions will take effect here Thursday when the movement of all inhabitants of the city will be limited to certain areas.

The first victim of the new security set-up in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv was Id1. Yankelevitch, 20, who was shot last night by soldiers while entering the security zona in Tel Aviv. Yankelewitch, who was wounded in the back and arm, had no pass, the sentries said.

Food impertors throughout the country are encountering considerable difficulty due to erratic rail service between Palestine and Egypt because of constant troop transfers and other resource. Despite the Food Controller’s assurance that there will be no food shortage, merchants fear that food stocks will dwindle.
