The Empire Rival dooked here this morning with 340 Jewish deportees from Cyprus. The arrivals were passengers on the Palestine-bound refugee vessel which foundered in the Aegan Sea several months ago. After their rescus they were diverted to Cyprus.

The immigration quotas for the two-month period between Dec.15 and Feb. 14 provide retroactively for the admission of 1,500 refugees now held in Cyprus. The balance of the quotas, comprising another 1,500,will be used to bring in displaced Jews from the British some of Germany, the families of ex-servicemen, and to legalize the entry of more than 100 persons reported by police to have slipped into the country without visas.
