President of Jewish Writers Group in Poland Decorated by Government

Leo Finkeletein, president of the Union of Jewish Writers and Journalists, who is now on a visit to the United States, was this week awarded a silver medal by the Polish Government in recognition of his literary and public work.

The formal opening of the first Hebrew club in post-war Poland took place in Lodz this week. The club has been established for the purpose of conducting cultural work in Hebrew among the Jewish population in Poland.
