The campaign of the British Government to check ## immigration of displaced Jews to Palestine in the countries from which they park was broadened today with an announcement by the Foreign Office that Britain ##tends to take up the matter of “illegal” Jewish immigration with UNRRA headquarters the United States.
A spokesman charged that UNRRA personnel have “wittingly or unwittingly” sisted in the movement of Jewish refugees to coastal countries en route to Palestine. He confirmed that the reply of the Italian Government to the British request halt the flow of Jewish immigrants was “satisfactory.” He also revealed that ##aly, too, will discuss the matter with UNRRA, in order to prevent Jewish refugees an entering Italy en route to Palestine.
