Premier Paul Ramadier was asked today to continue to permit displaced Jews to pass through France en route to Palestine. The request was made by Andre Blumel, president of the Jewish National Fund in France and legal adviser to the Jewish Agency. Mr. Blumel saw the Premier in connection with the recent note sent to Paris by the British Government asking action to halt the embarkation from French ports of Palestine-bound immigrants.

The Premier also received Dr. Nahum Goldmann, who outlined the position which will be taken by the Jewish Agency at the U.N. General Assembly on Palestine, and asked that the French delegation to the U.N. be instructed to support the Jewish demands.
