The services of the National Jewish Welfare Board Women’s Division to men and women in the armed forces were hailed as “a model program of salesmanship in the art of giving” by Brig. Gen. Francis R. Kerr, Assistant Administrator for Special Services for the Veterans Administration, who addressed the division’s fifth annual meeting held today at the JWB national office.

To mark the Women’s Division fifth anniversary, a special shipment of 50,000 gift packages is being sent to servicemen and women at home and in the occupation forces, it was announced by Mrs. Alfred R. Bachrach, chairman of the division, who presided at the meeting and delivered the annual report. Frank L. Weil, JWB president, also addressed the meeting.
