Memorial services for Abraham Herman, late president of the HIAS, who died Mar. 25, 1947, were conducted here today. Tribute to Mr. Herman, who served as HIAS leader for 21 years, were paid by: Samuel A. Telsey, newly chosen HIAS president; John L. Bernstein, a former HIAS president; Dr. Alvin Johnson, president emeritus of the New School; Alexander Kahn, general manager of the Jewish Daily Forward, and others.
