Jewish War Veterans to Take over Jwb Claims and Contact Services Program for Veterans

The Jewish Welfare Board and the Jewish War Veterans of the United States have concluded an agreement whereby the former’s program of claims and contact services for Jewish veterans and their dependents will be taken over by the JWV beginning June 1, it was announced here last night at the conclusion of the JWB annual meeting.

The terms of the agreement, which were made public by Frank Weil, president of the JWB, and Milton H. Richman, commander of the JWV, provide that the JWB shall be represented by three members of a six-man advisory committee which will be established to supervise the “implementation of this agreement.” The program is to be reviewed jointly by the two organizations one year after it goes into effect.

The veterans organization guaranteed to provide adequate claims and contact service for Jewish veterans throughout the country on a basis of full equality for members and non-members alike. The welfare organization will continue its program in the religious, welfare, community, hospitality and social fields at veterans’ hospitals and other veterans’ facilities.
