Abs Are Unlikely to Boycott United Nations Inquiry Body, Jerusalem Observers State

The Arab leadership, despite the defeat it suf##red at the United Nations, is unlikely to boycott the U.N. inquiry commission, as they are threatening, well informed observers declared today.

They pointed out that Egypt, for one, cannot afford to boycott U.N. bodies, walk out of the U.N., since she is taking the Anglo-Egyptian treaty dispute to the curity Council. The Arab states are eager to maintain at least the semblance of ##ty and solidarity, and if one of them refuees to go along with a boycott, it is un##kely that the others will insist on any such move.

Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog has cabled to Ivan Maisky, Soviet deputy Foreign ##ister and former ambassador in London, expressing thanks for the Russian position ## the U.N., it was learned today. A Russian translation of the works of the famous ##rew poet David Schmonovitz has been sent by the translator, Abraham Ahronov, to ##omyko as a token of appreciation.
