The National Community Relations Advisory Council, speaking for its six national and 24 local affiliates, today voiced opposition to the Buckley Bill, which would prohibit the distribution of anti Semitic literature in the United States.
The measure, which was introduced in the House by Rep. Charles Buckley, Bronx Democrat, at the behest of the American Jewish Labor Council, is criticized as being “poorly conceived and drafted.” Henry Epstein, chairman of the NGRAC, said the bill “invites invalidation by the courts, and is so vague and ambiguous as to be unenforceable.”
