Immediate favorable Congressional action on Federal aid to education was urged upon House Majority Leader Charles A. Halleck today by representatives of 27 national organizations with a combined membership of over 25 million.
Alexander E. Ginsberg of the American Jewish Congress and Mrs. Joseph Low of the National Council of Jewish Women, were among the nine representatives who made individual statements at the conference with Rep. Halleck, and were members of the committee which prepared an over-all statement presented to him emphasizing the need for Congressional aid to education.
