Gen. Jurgen von Stroop, under whose direction the Warsaw Ghetto was liquidated, has been brought here from Landsberg, in the U.S. zone of Germany. He will be tried by a Polish court. Stroop is already under sentence of death in Germany for having ordered the murder of U.S. fliers. On the same special plane with Stroop was Karl Musfold, who was in charge of the Maidanek crematoriums. Musfeld also faces trial as a war criminal.
