Max Knipping, Gestapo man who shot Georges Mandel, former French Minister of the Interior, while he was being transferred from one Nazi prison to another, was executed today. Mandel, the only Jewish member of the war-time French Cabinet prior to the fall of Paris, was considered by the Nazis to be their “Enemy No. 1” in France.
