The House today passed, 124 to 43, the joint resolution authorizing American participation in the International Refugee Organization and an appropriation of $73,000,000 as the American share in the international program for the care and resettlement of displaced persons. Budget hearings will begin next week before the Appropriations Committee on the enabling legislation but it is expected there will be no opposition to granting the funds.
