Members of Congress, Jewish Leaders Condemn Hanging of Three Palestine Youths

Members of Congress and leaders of the Jewish community joined today in condemning the execution yesterday of three young Irgunists.

Sen. James Murray said in Washington that “the British Government has once again demonstrated that it does not want peace in Palestine.” Rep. Andrew Somers com##red the executions to the Easter Day massacres in Dublin in 1916. Sen. Francis ##yers also condemned the hargings, as did former Sen. Guy Gillette, president of the American League for a Free Palestine.

Louis Lipsky, chairman of the interim committee of the American Jewish Conference Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, president of the World Jewish Congress and Meir Grossman, ## of the United Zionist-Revisionists of America, also protested.
