The American Consulate in Bucharest has notified the HIAS that it has resumed issuance of visas to applicants in the non-quota and first-preference quota categories, it was announced today by Isaac L. Asofsky, executive director of the organization. Registrations of non-preference quota cases are being accepted by the Consulate, but no visas are being issued for this category (##) present.
