Four hundred Jewish refugees moving from Milan to a new camp in Bologna refused to leave their train today because they complained that conditions in the new camp were “inhuman.”

Dr. Joseph Schwartz, European JDC director who is visiting Italy, Jacob Trobe, JDC director in Italy and I.R.O. officials are discussing the situation here, it was learned. The I.R.O. is reported to be pressing the JDC to assume greater responsibility in Italy, particularly in the agricultural training centers for Jewish youths.
