The Ministry of Justice has ruled that persons (##)trusted by Jews and other persecutees with their property during the Nazi occupation and who now refuse to return the property to the rightful owners will be tried in a high court, if the amount involved exceeds $60.

Formerly, all such cases were brought before police magistrates, and the de(##)dants, if found guilty, received light prison sentences or small fines. It is expected that under the new ruling, some 100,000 cases will be brought to trial.
