Two accidental explosions in the cellar of a house in Tel Aviv today resulted in the death of an unidentified Jew. It is believed that the cellar contained a Haganah arms cache.
The Stern Gang, in a statement issued last night to the press, expressed its opposition to the partition plan outlined in the UNSCOP report. “Whoever will sign for partition will sign for himself,” the statement said. “We will continue to fight for an undivided Palestine. We invite all freedom-loving nations to fight with us.”
