In a message greeting the opening of the Fall campaign of the SOS Collection of the JDC, Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt said today that “I know the most urgent need of relief supplies for Europe’s needy Jews and I hope that this collection which began on Sept. 25, will be very successful.” Mrs. Isaac Gilman, national co-chairman, announced that clothing has been given the highest priority on the SOS list, because textiles are virtually unobtainable in Europe.
