Canadian Minister Lauds Skills of Jewish Dp’s, but Says Most Wish to Go to Palestine

Douglas Abbot, Canadian Finance Minister, who has just completed a tour of the DP camps in Europe, stated here that he was impressed by the variety of skilled craftsmen and professional men among the Jewish displaced persons at the Orlstein camp, which is supplying a large number of Canadian settlers. But only about 25 percent of those people are interested in emigrating to Canada, the remainder are anxious to go to Palestine,” he added.
