Charges that Brigadier S.B. Clayton, head of British Intelligence in the Middle East, has offered money and arms to the ex-Mufti Jerusalem and Fawzi el Kaukadji, leader of the Arab revolt of 1936-39, to make on the Jews, were voiced here today by Dr. Joseph Schechtmann, chairman of the critical committee of the United Zionists-Revisionists of America.

He also accused the British of plotting an "anschluss" between Transjordan and the projected Arab part of Palestine, using the Transjordan Arab Legion to occupy Palestine. He advocated the immediate proclamation of a provisional Jewish government to mobilize Jewish strength for the expected battle against the Arabs.
