Secretary of the Army Kenneth C. Royall, ex-Gov. Robert H. Lehman and Judge Simon H. Rifkind, former advisor on Jewish affairs to the U.S. Army in Europe, tonight were the featured speakers at a testimonial dinner sponsored by the American Association for Jewish Education in honor of its retiring president, Mark Eisner.
Depicting the role of Jewish education in the lives of Jewish youth, Gov. Lehman said: “The schools of this Association must inspire our youth and their elders to be ##creasingly proud of their history and traditions. They will be proud if they learn and understand the deep spiritual significance of Jewish history and the vital part it its played in shaping world civilization.”
