The Philadelphia Jewish Community Relations Council has adopted a resolution appealing to all Jewish groups in the community to refrain from making public attacks against each other on the basis of their views on Zionism.

A special committee of the J.C.R.C. studied the situation in this city for several months before recomending the adoption of the resolution. It concluded that public statements and “name calling” by both the Zionists and non-Zionists have, in the past, been a contributing factor to the growth of anti-Semitism. The council is composed of representatives of 26 local and national organizations and a number of delegates from the community at large.
