Lt, Gen. Geoffrey Keyes today reduced the terms of two displaced Jews who were sentenced by an American military court to ten years earlier this month for having resisted arresting policemen who charged them with stealing fruit.

The two Jews, Kochane Fischer and Leon Armant, will have to serve three years. During the trial the prosecutor asked for a severe sentence to prove to the Austrians that the U.S. Army punishes all lawbreakers alike, regarless of race or religion.
