Argentine Delegate to U.N. Denies He Has Been Instructed to Vote for Partition

Dr. Jose Arce, chief of the Argentine delegation to the U.N. General Assembly, said today that he has received no instructions from Buenos Aires to vote for the UNSCOP majority plan recommending partition.

Shown a dispatch from Buenos Aires which quoted Foreign Minister Juan Bramuglia as stating that “Argentina will vote with the great powers for the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine,” Dr. Arce said: “I have no knowledge of it.”
