The executive board of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations today adopted a resolution withholding a decision on whether to join the American Jewish Conference if that body becomes a permanent organization until after the Conference’s session in Chicago next week-end, where a plan for a permanent organization will be discussed. The board held its annual parley this weekend.

Earlier, a report of the consistent growth and development of the various phases of activity of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations as well as an increase in membership was made by Dr. Maurice Eisendrath, president of the U.A.H.C. Rabbi Eisendrath lauded the nation-wide congregational expansion, establishment of numerous regional offices, preparation for the formation of labor synagogues, the establishment of teachers training schools on the East and West coasts and the broadening of the youth program. He estimated that the membership of the various congregations affiliated with the Reform organization had increased to over 100,000.
