Anglo-jewish Newspaper Loses $24,000 Libel Suit to Anti-semitic Propagandists

An award for $24,100 for libel was today handed ## by a Chicago court against the Anglo-Jewish weekly “Sentinel” and its publishers, ## Fishbein and Jack Feldman, following a jury trial.

The plaintiffs are Lawrence Dennis, Joe McWilliama and E.A. Deatherage, all of ## were among the defendants in the Washington sedition trial, and J. Parker Sage. ## four have been identified with anti-Semitic propaganda and anti-Jewish organizations. Another action of similar nature, brought by three persons including Elizabeth Dilling, notorious anti-Semitic propagandist, was ruled a mistrial.

The plaintiffe charged that their reputations had been damaged by statements ## the Sentinel describing them as “seditionist traitors and criminals.” The defend##s said they will appeal the decision.
