Turn Back 220 Jewish Refugees Passing Through Country from Rumania

A group of 220 Jewish refugees from Rumania have been returned from here to the Hungarian-Rumanian frontier. Children, the sick and ##among the illegal immigrants were permitted to remain under the care of the Jewish community.

The action resulted from recently tightened border immigration controls, in##ted in an attempt to apprehend war criminals and anti-government elements fleeing from the Balkan countries.

Gyula Simon, the presiding judge of the court which sentenced to death Chana ###, Jewish hercine who was captured after she parachuted behind the Nazi lines ##ritish Army mission during the last war, has been sentenced to seven years ##onment by an appellate court which reversed a lower court that had imposed a ##ar term.
