Leaders of American public opinion and of world Zionism will address the testimonial dinner tomorrow right honoring Dr. Abba Hillel Silver on the eve of his departure for Palestine, it was announced today.
Speakers who will pay tribute to Dr. Silver for his successful leadership of the Jewish cause before the United Nations include: U.S. Senator Irving M. Ives, of New York; U.S. Senator Joseph C. O’Mahoney, of Wyoming; Israel Rokach, mayor of Tel Aviv, Palestine; Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the World Confederation of General Zionists; Rabbi Meyer Berlin, leader of the World Mizrachi Organization; and Herbert Bayard Swope, prominent civic leader. Dr. Emanuel Neumann will preside.
Delegates to the United Nations, including Professor Enrique Rodriguez Fabregat, of Uruguay and Dr. Jorge Garcia Granados, of Guatemala will be among those present.
