An emergency fund of $1,000,000 will be raised in the United States and Canada within the next two weeks for the Haganah and the Histadruth, it was announced today by the National Committee for labor Palestine.
The announcement said that a conference of representatives of the Committee for Labor Palestine in the United States and Canada will be held in New York at the Hotel Astor on Jan. 18 at which time they will be asked to bring funds collected in their cities. “The money will be immediately relayed to Palestine for the purchase of equipment and supplies for the Haganah,” the announcement stated.
