Arabs Intend to Occupy “all of Palestine” After British Evacuation

The Arab nations “have the intention of entering Palestine and occupying the entire country in the wake of British evacuation,” the headquarters of the Arab League announced today. The announcement said that the ?b governments have notified the Big Powers that they are determined to resist? dispatch of an international police force to Palestine.

Britain and Iraq today signed in London a revised Anglo-Iraq treaty which? termed by British Foreign Secretary Ernest Bevin “the beginning of a new series ? treaties” with Arab countries. The new treaty provides that Britain is to continue send arms to Iraq and to train the Iraqi army.
