Jewish leaders in Poland are mapping plans to make Jewish institutions in this country more dependent on internal support rather than on aid from abroad, it was revealed here today by Joel Lazebnik, general secretary of the Central Jewish Committee.

The plan visualizes securing funds from local municipalities for the maintenance of Jewish schools, orphanages and similar institutions. Jewish members of the municipal councils will, under this plan, ask the municipalities to provide for these institutions by including them in municipal budgets as is done with non-Jewish educational and welfare institution.
