Powerful British Labor Union Urges Government to Ban Organization of Fascist Groups

The executive council of the influential Electrical Trades Union today asked Home Secretary James Chuter Ede to press for legislation to effectively ban the organization of anti-Semitic and fascist groups in Great Britain, it was revealed here with the release of a letter from the union to Ede.

The council’s action followed the receipt of letters from members and resolutions from local branches of the organization protesting the growth of local fascistic groups. The latest wave of protests followed the organization recently of a new Union Movement under the leadership of Sir Oswald Mosley, pre-war British fascist head.
