Senator Herbert O’Connor, Maryland Democrat, told the Senate today that ho would seek to “at least double” the number of displaced persons which a Senate Hill approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee this week proposes to admit to the United States.

The bill, reported out of committee Monday, calls for the admission of 50,000 DP’s a year over a two-year period. It provides that at least 50 percent of those to be admitted should be farmers.
