A bill to admit 400,000 displaced persona from Europe to the United States within the next four years will be introduced in the House this week, it was learned here today. The proposal–which was drafted by Rep. James G. Fulton, of Pennsylvania–was described as an alternative to the bill reported out of committee to the Senate last week which calls for the admission of $100,00 DP’s over a two-year period.

The Fulton Bill will be supported by Rep. Jacob K. Javits, of New York, as well as by a number of other Congressmen. It contains certain features designed to appease opponents of the original Stratton Bill, which also called for the admission of 400,000 DP’s in four years.
