South African Jews Condemn U.S. Abandonment of Partition; Pledge to Jewish State

The South African Board of Jewish Deputies and the Zionist Federation here this week-end termed America’s abandonment of partition a betrayal. “The United States has surrendered to threats of intimidation,” a joint statement declared, adding that the U.S. is “giving direct encouragement to aggression and resistance against the United Nations.”
